Freerider camp in Gudauri

Freerider camp for those who just made the 1st steps in backcountry skiing and freeride away from crowds on pistes. And for those who familiar with this type of activity but want to explore vicinity of Gudauri  with the best Georgian certified  mountain and ski guides Peakgeorgia. 

Camp One: from 29 of January till 5th of February.

Camp TWO: from 26 of February till 5th of March.

Price per person: 750 USD 

included:  7 nights accommodation, 5 days of guiding, transfer to/back from freeride, meal during the day (breakfast and dinner).

Group: minimum 4, max 7 persons.

2 guides for group of 6-7 persons.

Day one: Mount Bidara freeride.

Start at Gudauri: Equipment check and warm up on pistes. 40 min easy climb from the top of Sadzeli lift.

Angle: from 25 to 50 degrees depending on chosen line.

Duration: 3-4h.

Dificulty: from easy to moderate.

Best start of the season in the nearby mountain.

Day two: Orthodox Lomisi monastery skitour. 
About 20 min. drive to Kvemo Mleta village. 1,5-2h physically demanding climb to the ridge and 30-40min descend by fields of fresh snow.  Breathtaking views during the accent to Gudauri resort. 
Duration: 3-5h.
Difficulty: moderate (mostly because of climbing)
Angle: from 25 to 35 degrees depending on the chosen line.

Unique experience: visit to the ancient monastery with a great history and possibility to drink a tea  and talk with 5 monks who live there year round.

Day three: Arakhvety forest skitour.
About 20 min. drive to Arakhveti village. 1,5h accent through valley, forest till the edge of it on the 1800 m altitude.  Brown bears can be met there. However in winter they will probably sleep.
Duration: 3-5h. Can be combined with Lomisi rout in one day.
Difficulty: easy
Angle: from 20 to 30 degree.

Remote areas away from crowds on the way to Lomisi monastery. Opportunity to have fun descending in the forest.

Day four: Mount Deda Ena skitour.

About 10 min. drive to Cross Pass. 1,5h accent to 3000 m right before Deda Ena peak (3500). Descend by the impressive circus under the peak of Deda Ena. North slope is protected from sidewalls wind, therefore snow quality is high, lines variety is endless. Breathtaking view to Gudauri,  Mt. Kazbek.

Duration: 4-5h.

Difficulty: from moderate to difficult.

Angles: from 20 to 35 degree.

Real mountaineering experience in a big mountain.

Day five: Chaukhi Massive backcountry tour into Gem of Caucasus mountains.

Chaukhi is an unique massif . Its landscape is remarkable with amazing mixture of huge stunning mountains and bare steep rocks creating unforgettable surroundings. Place, where you can take to mountaineering, alpinism, hiking, trekking and ski touring. Some kind of magic touch is added by the small lake at the foot of wonderful mountains. This amazing environment gets you loose the ability of time perception. Amusing and pleasantly tiring adventures and fascinating moments interchange so smoothly that just one desire of everlasting time in this fairy tale captures you.

About 1h drive to the remote and high altitude village Juta. 2-2,5 h backcountry in Georgian Dolomites - Chaukhi Massive. It is very remote and wild area during winter. New lines by fresh snow guaranteed.

Angle: from 25 to 50 degree.
